Wow, quite a while for you then! Does the length of your involvement have anything to do with your teaching subject at all? I'd be interested in how this all ties together for you. Thank you for voting and commenting Christina.

No, I *wish* I could credit it to academic interest or involvement. I was still in undergrad back then, and it provided me with new ways to not do homework. I think the reason I stayed involved, however, is because it was interesting to watch how the technology and people's perceptions evolved.

I want to tentatively say 2003… by 2004 for sure. But I remember even before that having to explain to a mass media prof what a "blog" was and how the term developed. Fun times.

Since before it was called SM was what I checked, though I've only been "active" on the SM "scene" for about a year. But yes, I've blogging, reading and commenting on blogs, posting on other networks and communities, etc. for years it seems.

It does seem like everyone is more active since it became a "scene" that has a name. I appreciate that an "old-pro" like yourself stops in here and comments. Thank you Davina!
