Last month, when I wrote “The Tweeting Cemetery” I didn’t know whether the story would be well received or not. The article generated some passionate discussion in the comments, and I’m happy to report that the story is far from over!

The story caught the attention of Desiree Scales, CEO of Bella Web Designs, Inc. in Atlanta. Desiree hosts the weekly podcast at The Bella Buzz where she addresses internet market strategies, including social media. Desiree is a valued friend to me, and the story couldn’t have been carried forward any better.

The article that accompanies the podcast is excellent, head over after you listen to the discussion in the audio clip below. Desiree highlights some of the important takeaways from the interview.  In the podcast, Chad clearly explains more about his strategy and future plans for using social media. It’s interesting to note that his plans are not only to promote Oakland Cemetery, but all of Atlanta’s attractions!

Desiree Scales talks with Chad on The Bella Buzz:

I’m pleased to be able to share this follow up today. Many thanks to Chad and Desiree, I’m glad that the story continues. Once again we have the opportunity and insight that offers to teach us all a little more about how to work within the social media landscape.

'I hope both of our personal takes on Oakland Cemetery will help small businesses understand just how important social media can be in their overall online marketing strategy" – This is my hope Desiree, and I know it's yours as well! You continue to inspire me too Desiree. Thanks for being a friend!

AW, James I'm honored. See how powerful social media is? We've touched a lot of people with our independent posts on this really fun subject. (It helps that Chad has such a great personality and is a great interviewee!) I hope both of our personal takes on Oakland Cemetery will help small businesses understand just how important social media can be in their overall online marketing strategy. Thank you for the original inspiration and for being so gracious.

Thanks Chris! I agree, it's great to hear Chad explain some of this in his own voice. Let me know when you do go, I'm interested in your thoughts about Oakland. Chad can probably help you plan a great day by pointing you towards some other things and places you might not know about! I appreciate the comment today!

Your post on Oakland Cemetery was one of my favorite so far! I also enjoyed hearing directly from Chad on Desiree's podcast. My wife and I have talked about visiting the cemetery when the weather warms. We usually stay within a 5 mile radius of Marietta and plan to visit more of the things Atlanta has to offer this summer.
