2011 Marketing And Social Media Trends To Watch – From A Wiser Man Than I

Last year I opted not to write any type of year end or New Year “trends” post. I did publish a pretty nice “15 of the Best and Brightest Social Media Videos and Presentations” post that I still look back on and enjoy. I’ll be refreshing the list this year, so do watch for that to happen soon. In any event, this year is a little different. So much has happened in the past 12 months, and so much more seems to be happening right now. 2011 will surely be a year that we look back at as a benchmark year for social media marketing.

I’ve been reading countless year-end reviews and trends for 2011 blog post from thought and industry leaders over the past 45 days or so…and for the most part I’m excited by and agree with most of what all of these folks have to say. As for predictive accuracy and authority that resonates with me, Rohit Bhargava stands out. Below is an incredible presentation by Rohit that I wanted to share with all of you here today. More individuals and companies than ever before will be getting involved in 2011. Many will begin to accelerate their efforts as they round the learning curve that began for them last year, or the year before. The playground is getting crowded folks…innovation and creativity from dynamic people is going to be all the rage this year. The culmination of so much of what stood apart individually last year will bring fireworks in 2011. I’m very excited to see what develops.
